Hello!

My name is Ashley Low.

I believe that all childhood memories should be documented, simply because all babies should grow up to be constantly reminded how loved and precious they are.

I always believe in honouring your baby’s natural character – including all their silly expressions and preferences. So when you look back on the photos 10 years from now, it reminds you who they really are.
My photos are real and authentic as well as colourful and playful.
I am known for using textures, props and lots of creativity during my shoots. I travelled the world looking for new techniques and I fell in love with colour theory and floral design.
Whenever my clients see the final photos they gasp and sometimes get a little teary. They can never pin-point why exactly they love the photos, they just know they do.
That always brings a smile to my face because it means I’ve done my job as an artist, a photographer, and someone who truly cares about building memories.

“Imagine you are 75 years old now, sitting with your grandchildren sharing with them your children’s photos and telling all sorts of stories about them.”

“Wouldn’t this be the most wonderful thing?”

How I got here

I was in the advertising business for 7 years before I became a master photographer.
It was a series of uncanny events that led me here. When I was 18 years old, I had a near drowning experience that made me realise the importance of family. Before that point, I had had a difficult relationship with my parents. In my teenage rebellion, I could not see how much they truly loved me.

I wanted that to change. I wanted to start creating beautiful memories with them. But it wasn’t until I found my path as a photographer that I realise how much that experience affected me.

Through my photography, I want children to see how loved they are. And I want parents to be able to express their love and bear witness to their child’s development and uniqueness.
Advertising taught me a lot of things: an appreciation of good design, how to be hands-on and proactive. But I wanted more. I carried my DLSR camera everywhere and finally my brother said “why don’t you build a career with your camera?” It was a light bulb moment for me. Until that point I didn’t realise I could use my passion to build a business.

But passion alone isn’t enough, so I flew to the University of the Arts in London to master photography. I’ve invested in my skills ever since, and today I’m proud to be awarded as one of Singapore’s best family photographers, helping people treasure their families through beautiful photography.
